While I've had very little problem with the Octura 2-piece when the motor mount doesn't prevent fully seating the collet on the motor shaft, when forced to use the silly water-cooled motor mount (the one in the picture is the same minus the watercooling barbs and has been modded with vent holes and motor studs) , the small center hole makes fully sliding on/seating of the Octura's not possible. These http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-81518 have a smaller o.d. and can slide all the way on the motor shaft for full contact :

Im a big fan of this type.
Seen here on one my twin drive gearboxes and also on a Castle 2028

4x M4 grubs secure the flex.
Zero failure... and simple to release for regrease etc .

Hey Tony I ran that 3 piece collet today and It loosened up on me once "false tight" and when I cracked the nut loose the cable came right out. I ran it two sets of batteries and then I checked it. I'm glad I didn't run it the third time if I would have I would have lost another combo! I'll get it right... I guess I'm gonna go get some anti-seize compound and all will be better
