Nimh to Lipo

Need help figuring out what to run for a lipo setup in my Drifter cat. It's 34" long and has a 10XL motor, Warrior ESC, Turbo transmission and currently running 2- 9 cell 3300Mah packs in series.
What would be the equilolent in lipo packs?
Is there such a thing as overkill with the lipos ? I mean if I put 2-4900Mah lipo packs in series would it hurt anything?

for starters each lipo cell is 3.7 volts from there add it up. 2s=7.4 3s - 11.1, 4s =14.8 ect. That would be running in series. for more milliamps run in paralelle(spellcheck) The common set up equivelent to 12 cells is 4s in voltage. a common set up is 4s 2p hope this helps... Dave

Tom if you are running 2X9 cells in series that is just shy of 22volts so you would go with a 5s setup which is 18.5 volts or 6s which is 22.2volts.

This is what I have for Lipos:

2S1P 4900 25C (I have two packs) 7.4v each
4S1P 4900 25C (I have two packs)14.8v each
4S1P 5000 20c/30c/50c (I have two packs)14.8v each
Which should I run?

I would start testing with the (2) 2s packs.
