If you are interested in the twill weave fiberglass the eBay seller is Marc, it it 220g a square yard and sells for $4.76 a yard x 39" long . It is a proper cloth, not mat and the quality is good. Shipping is either free or only a few dollars. I have some of it here, while it doesn't look like a 2x2cf twill weave as the weave pattern is smaller it would look very nice for an inexpensive way to add strength to your hull. I have some here that I may use on the deck underside, although I bought s-glass after reading
about it here and was very impressed with what I received and will likely use it as the are is not seen anyway. Just use whatever fits your budjet. Atleast you have many different options.
For the fella that stated cf wouldn't have helped any in his crashes, what boats do you have in cf that you have crashed and immediately came to the conclusion it wouldn't help. And yes, some cf jobs are not done correctly. Many do put it in because it looks a lot nicer than an ugly bare fiberglass hull. I don't use cf to impress anyone but myself with a job well done and knowing at 80mph in a blow over I stand a very good chance of retrieving my boat undamaged. The same hull, a 50"mono, as it came in fiberglass would have broke up and likely sunk or would have been a pile for the garbage heap.
CF is here to stay, finally a material that will let people run there boats with all this wonderful technology to there potential.Comment

I never stated a carbon hull wouldn't help in a crash! Show me where I said that, I DID SAY a layer of carbon in the bottom of the hull won't make any difference compared to layer of fiberglass laying in a puddle of resin in the bottom of a fiberglass hull.
A PROPERLY laid up vacuum bagged carbon hull is much stronger than a comparable glass hull, carbon in the bottom of a glass hull is not worth spending the extra money on ,glass is more than enough.
If you want to question what somebody says at least get it right........If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

Did you check out the link I posted? You can get a 14x36" piece for like $16 shipped. Should be enough to do what you want. I'd put two layers of fiberglass then the cf on top. Use a cf resin for it and not fiberglass resin. You can get the cf resin cheap too. If you need a link ill post it.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment
