Thanks guys. Don't know how many amp's I'll be pulling on this set up. I don't like pushing ESC limits on amps or volts.

That is what is nice about the new controllers they have data logging so we can start small and check the amps as we go. The only problem with running too small is that if you over rev for prolonged times with cheap motors they will let the magic smoke out.

Thanks Carl. I'll probably get the boat to George in the next week or two to get him started on a new tub. Should be a fun project.

I picked up the new S Rigger yesterday. Going to do a little work to her over the next week or two and off to paint.

              Chilli.
I've been running the 1527/1Y on 8s1p in my 1/8 scale U-95 Hydro which is 42" long. Prop is now a Prather S-240, & ESC is a Swordfish 240A. No problems so far. I think a free flying rigger should fare well on your set up with the 1527/1Y. A 646/3 prop also works well on the set up in the Hydro.
              Cheers.
              Paul.

You gonna have enough tail weight on that thing? Looks like the CG will be pretty far forward......

                  Ran the 1527/1Y on 8S1P in a Q Sport Hydro with a 2018 ABC - 89+ mph and around 175 amps average.

Jay, I can easily slide one of those packs back next to the ESC to bring the CG back. It's nice to finally have a FE rigger with a little extra room to play with. Currently (with both packs in the nose) the CG is about 2/3 the way down the turn fin blade. That's without prop, steering servo and receiver pack. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get the CG in the sweet spot.

Appreciate the input guys. I welcome any more thoughts. Positive or negative. It's the only way we are going to learn.

No problem, I always found riggers to need the CG further back than other hydros. Of course it depends on the prop lift too. Good luck!

Yep it ran at our SAW trials. I posted 147.4kmh combined with a fast pass of 151.0kmh. Very conservative props as we are still learning. Sponson shapes are changing as well as props. Time and testing is what is needed now. Cheers

Video of the rigger running. Had some issues this day which eventually died. More development = more fun = more speed.
