What is a good stuff for stuffing tube

Ok so on my Genesis cat the stuffing tube was leaking and found out it was loose at the hull. I removed the stuffing tube and cleaned the old sealant off the bottom of the hull and inside the hull. I just don't know what to use I have JB weld and some 3M fiberglass resin. So my question is what do I use and do I just put it on the inside or on the inside and outside. Please help.

I'll preface this by saying I'm not an expert.

You want to use a slower curing epoxy (30 minutes) make sure you get the epoxy inside the hole as well as the inside of the hull. Having build-up on the outside won't support the tube very much and it just looks bad too. When it's cured, you can add a little more on the inside to build it up.

Mixing in and additive like milled fiberglass to the epoxy would be even better.

JB works great for stuffing tubes, I also use it for motor mounts etc. Never had anything break loose using it.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I use 5 minute mix but make sure the 2 parts are equal in amount. Now if you don't make parts equal, it will stay soft for good. Also heat up epoxy so it is warm and will flow into small pin holes and etc.

I have tried them all, JB weld is the winner!
