    I use a cut-off wheel to cut the cable to the right length, than I use a sanding disc ( same only thicker than the cutting wheel) to round out the blunt end, no special technique. A properly cut and chamfered end should not have strand ends sticking out. The steel should look very smooth and you can barely see the individual winds. I don't quite understand your meaning of a beveled cut, I am terrible with terminology. The round out is for the entire circumference of the cable, not an angled cut, if I understood correctly.
    Said procedure is done with a Dremel Rotary Tool.
    Too many boats, not enough time...

      chamfer is a bevel edge,
      but i understand what you mean now.
      i will try with the next one, for i had purchased from OSE the flex cable lengths.
      besides can't do if can't learn, well i try
