    won't plane

    Hi;
    I just finished building a 30 inch deep vee hull;with a 3674 motor 180 amp hobbywing esc, 2 7.4volt 5200mah.lipo batteries along with a m445 prop.The prop was suggested by someone hear.When I put it in the water and hit the throttle it will not plane just push the water.it looks like it was running the stern deep in the water.I read somewhere that you need to give the boat a push start to get it moving.Is this true?,or is the setup I have.I have the esc in the front of the bow just ahead of the canopy opening,then the motor.Receiver and servo are at the back.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks Guys

    How do you have your batteries wired? in parallel or in series. Where are your batteries mounted?

      We need more information. What is the Kv of the motor? Where is the CG (balance point) of the boat? A photo of the transom will help us to help you.

        Sounds like to me its to much prop for that motor. Also the motor might be a touch on the smaller side for the boat.

        Lots of other factors at play here to. Just my initial thoughts.

            Sounds like it could be the lvc set to high on the esc, common problem on the Seaking 180a. Try lowering the lvc voltage or turn it off all together but watch run times if you turn off though.

              Ive had bad luck with those t180.s. Ive got two and have trouble with both of them. One seems to be constantly going into lvc and the other seems to be thermal shutdown. neither is in a set up where they should be having any issues. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if you were maybe having an issue with yours.You may not be getting full power for whatever reason.

                  The batteries are wired in parallel,and they are mounted by the motor.edge of battery even with back of motor.

                            If they are in paralell, then that is your problem. You have to wire them in series to get 14.8v, which is appropriate for the 2075 kv motor, at 7.4v you're only getting
                            15,350 rpms, 14.8v will give you 30,700 rpms, which is more in the ballpark. Are you positive they are in paralell? It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looked like a series adapter. Also, the deans connectors probably won't last long, they tend to melt/desolder in boats from the higher amperage. They may work for a stock RTR setup, but not anything with more power...........
