    FC300A ESC Parts Information Wanted

I'm a glutton for punishment so I picked up this smoked Fightercat 300A ESC for $10 and want to try to repair it. I found one fried component and I'd like to replace it, but I don't know what it is/was: Diode, Resistor, Cap?
My google searches were fruitless except likely finding the thread on FC where this ESC smoked and took out the rx to boot :)

Does anybody have schematics, parts placement, or other carnal knowledge of what this might have been?

On the below image it used to sit where the two shiny pads are below the roundish component labeled "220"

    Thanks for your help!
    Corey

Strikingly similar looking ckt. I found a post on fc from the guy i picked it up from, he had one of these ESC's supplying 16V to his rx/ this could be it.
Tomorrow I'll hook it up to one of my orange rx w/ external BEC and a crappy motor and see what happens.

          Thanks!

No worries this could be part of the BEC regulation circuit. I'll probe it tomorrow and find out before I turn on the juice....outside

let me know what you find. I have a few smoked 8S/300A ones here. Might be able to salvage a few parts....

I don't suppose you could check that component on one of your smoked ESC to see if it has any markings on it ?
If I manage to track down any info I'll let you know!

Here's a little closer look at the pad under a scope. Did some probing and it appears to be part of the SBEC circuit at the output between RX pos and gnd. If I had to guess it is probably a cap, part of an LC circuit to smooth the SBEC output, but I'm just half guessing. Any ideas guys?
                      Thanks!!

                            Thanks Joel,
Let me pay shipping and if I can figure out what went south with yours, I'll fix it and send it back at my expense. I find this very intriguing and want to learn more. I'm no expert, but I've got some experience on circuit level repair and certifications with the Navy and I promise to send it back at least in the same condition you sent it :)
                            Thanks!

I powered mine up tonight after pulling the cooler and inspecting all under a scope. I pulled the BEC wire off the RX, which did not regulate, but all I got was 10 beeps in series. No smoke thankfully, time to keep digging!
