That would give you more run time but I think that the rpm would be a bit low, race water shouldn't be a problem because the rigger I've built is a zipp kits gas jae rigger which is 43" long I believe and your rtr weight will be in the 13-14 pound range, reducing your amp draw will be the big thing that increases your run time so if you wanted to drop back to a 55mm prop that would definitely bring your amp draw down and help to more closely match your competitors in speed, if you ran the 1460 or x460 you would be in the 80 mph range so if you went with the 55mm prop instead it would definitely drop the amp draw and should still keep you in the low to mid 70s.
I have 4 big riggers with 6-10s setups, the one I like the best is a NEU 1530/1Y on 8S 7700's with a x462 prop. It uses about 2600-2800 mah in a 6 lap race and has been clocked doing 9 sec laps on a full surveyed 1/6 mile course. My hulls are all Custom CMDI SG riggers built specifically for electric.
I dont have any on the computer, the boat is a custom 39" SGx2 rigger a .67 size hull just a couple inches shorter, I originally ran it on 6s so i needed it under 40" to run in Q hydro. since there was no Q hydro this year at the nats it is still the current Q-hydro Nat champion boat. I ran it at the Mi Cup in open Hydro and ran great till i hit something and sheared one of the rear sponsons off, it was undriveable after that so I sidelined it. Oh and If you're going to do a 10S rigger yes it will be expensive!!!!!
Well got the 10s jae out finally, it ran 77.8 and is pulling super hard to the right, so much so that it is causing the boat to run completely crooked when I try to run it straight and it's the turn fun causing it, it's pulling the right sponson down into the water HARD so ill have to kick it forward and try it again. Still ran 77.8 for its first time out! Way more left in it!!!
