Ep gas rigger, say yes or no?

    Looking for 2nd fe build

Gas rigger is majority The pond I usually visit, they run something like 26cc mod or 30cc mod.
I would like to join in the fun but: no smelly no oily and not noise! So ep is the way.

Seeking possibility ideal building full size insane rigger or similar size gas rigger into ep config at competitive way.

Few things to match them to stay competitive.

    5minutes runtime

    5minutes wot

Maybe 55-65mph race setup not saw setup

    I'm hoping using t180 for the esc. Yes 6s setup.as I already have a pair of 6s 5000mah lipo.

We no race no rullz! go fast turn right is the goal and left the dead behind!(yes, basher)

Any input will be great appreciated.

With a rigger that size, how about a twin 6S setup, a single will be underpowered. That way you can use T180 esc's and go 6S 1P x2. Motors 4082 1600kv, props 447(/3?). Could be a fun setup! Just my thoughts.

Wow! That is fast! I would trade some speed for more duration because I don't think my
            Opponent going that fast.

Any ideal this taipan able to take those race chop from gas rigger?

If yes then I will just buy this and happy
            Ending.

No, 6S will not meet his needs. If he wants to run successfully with gas-sized boats he'll need a similar-sized hull, and 6S will not give him the run time he needs at the speeds he wants in a hull that size. He will want a minimum of 8S, but 10S will get him the run time he needs - barely. Five minutes of run time using 8000 mAh is less than 100 amps draw, and on 6S that is not much power at all...2200 watts won't get a big rigger to 65 mph. On 10S that's 3700 watts, still on the low side for 65 mph. The 8S hydros in our club run 70 mph and that is not quite as fast as a good gas rigger...and they certainly won't run for 5 minutes.

In that video, there is no racing, only one other boat is running and he never gets up behind it, I am with Fluid, to actually race with gas boats you will have to handle their wakes which means being about as big and heavy as they are. Even if the gas riggers in your club are slower than those in Fluid's club and are only doing 55, 6s is not enough to get you there for 5 minutes, over here I would say 12s, but if you are in USA you are not insured for over 10s so 10s with lots of capacity will have to do, you could do twins with that ESC, but for the extra cost of a second ESC and driveline you could buy a HV ESC and have a lot less complicated build and tuning.

Wow dint know that is so much to consider .
Thanks fluid and Paul sharing your knowlage!

So I can use my 6s 5000 hook then up become 12s 5000mah
I will conside a hv esc now.

So back to drawing board...which rigger hull?

You still prob need 2 more 6s packs for a total of 4 to get 10000 mah. 5000 mah will only get you maybe 2 min.

Somewhere in the 80-90 mph range but I highly doubt I get 5 minutes from it, I'll be able to tell you more later this weekend on the performance, will be its first time out this Saturday...

You could build the same hull I have and run 2 4000mah 6s lipos in it in parallel for 8000 mah total running a Neu 2215 1y at 1440kv or similar leopard motor as far as watts and kv are concerned with a castle creations ice 240 esc and should easily be able to turn like a octura 1460 or detongued x460 which should give you way more than enough speed and runtime to demolish anything that's only running 65 mph... But the 5000mah 6s packs will be a tight fit if they even fit at all, maybe 2 4500 mah packs... But it could be done!
