that would be 3/16 and since 5/32 is too big that would also be too big, I bought the collet from you (Jeff) so I thought you might know the right size its the 5mm x .078 for your wire drive .

I think you will find the 6/32 is the screw size & thread which takes a 1/16" Allen key.

What I do is buy quality Stainless steel set screw replacements local that have much better fit to wrench's in my toolbox. Never have a problem. I hate those black steel set screws, they always give out eventually.

Finally after visiting 8 stores and trying numerous allen key sets i found a set made in England that had a 1/16 that fit perfectly what a difference quality makes all the made in china sets I found were too small.
I think stainless is a good way to go a lot stronger tan the black. Thanks for all the input

Glad to hear you got sorted, quality nearly always pays. I believe some of the cheap Allen keys use the same key for 1.5mm & 1/16" I have a few sets where the 1/16" key is actually 1.5mm or .059" where as it should be .0625. 3 thou less dosnt sound much but on these small sizes it makes all the difference between undoing the screw & not slipping & rounding out the hex in the screw.

That's what I thought, I use Team Associated quality racing hex driver, it fits quite well. That having said, some set screws do have variance in their specs as I also feel some fit looser than others.

I don't understand what you mean, yours are .050" & 1/16" key slips. A 1/16" key is .0625 so is much larger than your .050" ?.
