Andy I can see what the problem is. It is those Honda decals. You need some SAAB turbo ones. Red is a fast color, we all know that, but those decals will cause you problems everytime.
Sorry to see you having such a run of bad luck. It is good you salvaged the expensive parts. Mate a bit of fencing wire and some chewing gum and you will fix it in no time. I heard you won the 2007 Broken Hill Model Boat Concours D'elegance with a boat that looked worse than that broken pickle fork.

The lake is 0nly 6' deep where this happened and very hard. I would of thought that the water would slow her down but obviously not. If you look at the pic of the bottom you can see it damaged both sponsons. The one less damaged has been glassed from an encounter with a small log and is obviously alot stronger.

YES the bottom 6 feet down and this part of the pond has an old cement bottom covered in 6 inches of silt and slime. I know it was 55mph because the gps survived and told me so. 6 feet of water at 55mph obviously the vacu-pickle makes a very high speed submarine. It pisses me off because I had her running sweeeet. No spinning in turns ,no venting of air and no back flipping.
The black stuff in the hole is the silt, slime etc from the bottom.
