So how are you guys removing your prop nuts with the flex still installed in the boat? Basically how are you holding back on the shaft/prop without damaging anything? Having trouble wrapping my head around this, without damaging anything in the process. Thanks for any help.

I suppose you could grab the drive dog with vice grips, but I too prefer to hold the prop. What are you using for prop nuts? These are (IMO) the best: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-8135

Ok, I figured you need it nice and snug because I am getting the prop coming a little bit loose after about 5 runs or so. Almost like the drive dog moves, or the nut is backing off ever so slightly. Maybe I want this slight movement in the prop? Btw we're talking about normal proboat hardware here. 3/16 shaft, x642, Mystic 29...Comment

Not wanting to jack this thread but a couple weeks ago I received a pack of those that fluid posted a link to.
All 3 are loose to screw on. Can you put them in a vice or some thing and give them a little squash ?Comment

I have just used fuel line with no nut to hold props on when doing lots of prop testing,
And it holds them on good.
I never lost a prop from doing that ether.Comment
