are they new batteries? is the boat running wet? With the same exact setup I can pull a 648 with cup on good 4s 5000's 1P and get the batts around 140, with 6600 mah you should run cooler especially with a 445 theres something not perfect there. Hyperion 35C are as good as most other companies 50-60C rated batteries unless they are old? also I don't like cells smaller than 4000's in boats, I just feel the smaller cells heat up no matter what, I feel the lager cell dissipates heat better, I have no proof just my feeling. 85% of my boat batteries are 5000's and up the rest are 4000-4500

Batterys : Thunderpower 4s 6600 mah 70 C
Connected in series.

according to what you say you will be running 8S? is that correct? what is the # on the motor 8-9-10??? you're talking close to 40K rpm and a 2pole motor compared to NEU's that are 4 pole. that motor is much more suited to 6 cell, on 6 cell i would use a 445-447 maybe try a 440 on 8cell?

Are those the carbon Chinese turn fins?? I have a set and want to use them on my DF33.....

skip those props and get a cnc from ose. They make the octuras and such look silly. I ran x445 for a bit with mm modded, medusa research 36/70 2300 3s to 6s (holy amp draw). http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=cnc-4214250

jasburrito, the cnc props are nice but an experienced racer really has no use for them, there really is no tuning them to specific boats and conditions, I have well ove 200 props and I can say there is not one of them thats stock.
