What Prop To Run Delta Force 33

    I have a P-mono class DF 33 with a NEU1515 1Y on 4S. Any suggestions for props with this set-up?

I have a neu 1515 2200kv on a 29" mono on 4S, anything above x442 got my connectors too hot for my liking (sport running, not racing). I currently run that boat on m440/x440, occasionally x442. I'm using a hydra 240A esc (overkill I know)...

Try a 646/3 detounged and round the tips just a bit. Running the same set up in a pursuit. Keep run times to 2.5 min and temps will be ok. I was pre cooling my motor to ~ 70f and temps at the end of the run were in the 115 is area. Connectors will be hot 140 ish. It was 95 + here in Cali and the run I didn't pre cool the motor temps got up to 145 ish on the motor. This was using a silicon water jacket though. I just finished making a custom copper one, hoping that will improve cooling efficiency.

I actually have a castle 1515 1y not a Neu . Would think you could spin that prop no problem. How is the weather out there?

when I had my df 33 and 1515 combo my best prop was also a modified 646/3. The question is if you are heat racing or just using it for fun. My setup was pretty much at the limit for a heat race as far as temps, but it was a very fast boat.

                      Test Run

Ran the boat with a M445 and was pretty satisfied. Estimated speed around 50 MPH. Motor temp after 7 laps on a slightly short 6th mile oval course was 110-115 F, ESC temp 130 F. My batteries were at 155 though! Little worried about that. Strut had a couple of degrees down angle. I have changed it to neutral, and hope that will take some load off and get less heat. We will see. Boat turns really well, a bit sharper turn in than my Titan 29 which is my only point of reference on a mono hull. Looking forward to racing this boat in the Michigan Cup Race in 8 days!

I always ran 2 4s 5000 packs in my boat I think they were only 25c back then

Do you have a data logger? I think the lipo's are not up to the task and you are having a big voltage drop. I just experienced the same thing with some lipo's that had higher mAh and C rating but the voltage drop was almost half of what it should have been upon acceleration. Everything came in cool except the batteries.
