Dood, maybe search the forums on this site before you have dumb ass reply
Yeah I searched for: "No problem with BEC on 6s"... Got zero returns, that's the proof than that it breaks down with "anyone" using it. Oh, and that's sarcasm "DUDE" !
Ive been on this site for a few years now, and there has been a lot of people with blown BECs on the T180s, and as I said before, most people are using over 4S
I am actually giving correct advise to the person about running a battery pack instead of the internal BEC.

Andrew, matey, define what is "a lot of people' do you you have a clue how many of these are sold? (I'm not,but I can guess) Its all in the numbers, ever see someone post just about his seaking/Tgy internal BEC running fine?
There were a few in this thread alone, but you decided to give as 'good advice': "Anyone who uses over 4s seems to have the BEC burn out eventually"
"anyone" is again....nonsense.
On top of that, older versions (some of the problems you linked to) had a linear BEC, and as you said yourself above, a switcher shouldn't matter.
For example on a complete different product:
Toyota is the best selling car brand in the world, ...fact!, Also repeated "most reliable" ...fact! (measured by lowest number of help calls by RACV here, or elsewhere equivalent road emergency breakdown services)
Now do me a favor and Google: "Toyota problem"
You would not recommend a Toyota as good car because of bad reviews on the Internet?
Edit: at least I take the time to listen to your argument..
After deeper investigation into your posted links;
link 1>> someone has heared that... blah. blah.(I'm a parrot)
link 2>> is regarding a V1, older generation ESC
link 3>> one guy screams in the middle of a different subject thread totally out of context: T180 and SK 180 are well known of their failing blah blah (I'm a parrot)
link 4>> Yeah, he is selling a different brand ESC
Now here is again a thread about failing BEC's ... this one
You should both take your argument elsewhere. The OP just wanted peoples opinion on the t180and weather he should run external bec. One of you said no the other yes leave it at that, everyone else who posted on this thread gave their opinion and left it at that.
Back to the OP, if you running over 4s and want piece of mind for the cost I would run external bec they reasonably priced.
You are right Mulisha, up to the point where we all posted our findings. Then someone stated that anyone using over 4s is going to burn it out.
That is incorrect info for the OP, Besides setting that straight, it was called a "dumb ass reply" and I could not let such rubbish go, maybe I should have.
Anyway, I said everything I wanted to say about that in my previous post. I'll leave it with that.
I just hope that people start really reading and making their judgement from common sense and facts, not from 'hear say'.
Well here in Overseas the t180 is very popular, we had sometime problems with running 6s with BEC , so as a security up to 4s with and 5+6s without. That is common over here!

THAT is the exact point im looking for!! Im putting a lot of effort amd money in this toy. The last thing I want is for the radio to glitch out when I punch it to get to top speed.
Further, the more product a company sells, even if the product is stellar, the better changes there are of a marginal or faulty one landing in your hands.
It is just the laws of statistics.
Thanks for everyone's input. The fact that there is even a discussion means that there is differing opinion, so Im going to play it safe.
