I'll be watching. I'm always curious what the t180 limits are. I never have really pushed mine like this

I dunno if t-180 is considered "safe" for what you're doing but good luck
Ya the 180s would be a good choice. They are pretty rugged. I run 6s and learned a cple things the had way lol. I pretty much always run and external bec as well as a resiviour cap on my reciever. always try to add extra caps to the esc as well. Once you get the t180's you should have a pretty nice setup.
Now I'don't know what to think^^What should I do. You should agree to each other^^, Heaving Earth has doubt about these ESC and kendt says that they are pretty good :P. What to do, who should I believe now?^^

Well, the t180 are considered as very tough though, and for the price I think I can try them out :)

They're great esc, I'm just unsure about what you are doing with them. Then again, I've never done what you're doing so I shouldn't be talking, but I can say they are very good esc

I just ordered them, so lets check if they do their job
I'll keep you informed :) Maybe I could even open a thread presenting my boat :)

Well, they'll definitely work much, much better than the cc 120's did/will. 477's is pushing it with those motors though.

What's the rating on the caps your using with your Rx's?? I've been looking into getting those to prevent glitches.

                Steve's are 1,000uF, Jan's appear to be 3,300uF and LHS has these... http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...tor-SPM1600#t1 - they're 4,700uF.

The higher the number the better, more storage capacity, think of it as a 1,000mAh batt vs a 4,700mAh, which would you choose?

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions.

The one that recharges fastest, the small one.

I would actually go with the bigger ones. The charge rate of any of these caps is more than fast enough. Bigger caps hold more energy. Better to have more than enough IMO.

The t180s have a burst rate of 360a. I dont know what the rating was on the CC but i doubt it was anywhere close to that. I think thats why the t180 can take a bit of a beating. If you look at the specs of some of the other chinese esc's they may be rated at 200a but have a burst rate of like 220...lol. Makes me very suspicious when I see numbers like that.

True, caps recharge in a matter of nano-seconds, literally, so yes, in this case bigger is better, you just confirmed my suspicions - thanks!

                      I'm using a SK120A, rated at 240A burst rate.

ESC rated at 200a, burst 220 - yeah, that is very suspicious. I've seen speedo's with specs similar to that, burst amps only a little more than continous amps, ok, so which one is the inflated rating LOL.

If i see an esc with a burst rating only 20 amps higher than the escs actuall rating I dont trust either number...lol

On cap's, how fast does your ESC switch at the RPM your turning?
