Well that video sounds better. In fact it looks like you're having trouble keeping it in the water.

So if I bring my c/g to 30% from the back and get a 452 prop it should ride better. Is the issue that the prop is way to small?

He is running a 452 but a completely different setup. Yours is way high rpm so I would go with a smaller prop. M445 . Just my two cents

Thx. I just wanted to know what I should order for the upcoming weekend. I have 4s packs that I will use. Just need a good prop. I think what's on the boat now is a 440

It's hard to see how it's riding because you give it full throttle for a second then cut a turn and spin out. I don't know if it's riding good or bad because the motor/cell count is over the top and your videos don't show much. Try shooting a vid of some nice full throttle straight runs for us.

Honestly a m445 on 4s with that motor is what I would start with.

This is a nice aired out cat. This is running castle 2200kv 4074 motor on 5s with m440. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjEqH...e_gdata_player

I have a Leo 4074 2000kv. Is that equivalent to the castle?

Well the size is similar but the kv is lower. Not something I would put in a cheetah, that is a decent sized hull. The 4082 is the smallest I would put in there

Run her full out for 5 minutes in loops you'll learn the hulls attitude and characteristics real quick

OK Mr. HOR2012 : Put your flame suit on, settle down and listen up ! (and PLEASE understand that you're getting some straight information with your best interests at heart in good cheer so please take it that way .) Also, if it helps, I'll violate my personal rule regarding beating my own drum and state that I believe that the Cheetah is one of the best Cats available since it's introduction and motivated me to start the Cheetah Owner's Club on KBB forum, built one for a customer and loved it so much I had to have one for myself which sets my toes a-tapping every time I run it, have two National Cat SAW records under my belt including the current NAMBA P-Ltd Offshore record plus my P-Ltd Cat took Second Place at the NAMBA FE Nationals last year. I've also custom built a fair amount of high-performance boats for a worldwide customer base.
Sooo..., with that shameless (and regretful) drum beating aside, (done only to enhance my advice-giving credibility), here's what I'll offer :

#1 - Go 4S2P 5000mah 65C/130C on your batteries. Bolt on an m545 or m447 and Buckle Up You said your batteries are old but hold a full charge. The reason your ESC hit the LVC is that, regardless of voltage off the charger, it's where they drop down to under load that matters. I could charge a potato up to nominal voltage but it's best use would be to compliment a cheeseburger

#2 - 6S on 2200KV is nuts. Propping up that setup to a 452 will require a sponge to mop up the melted components and likely a fire extinguisher as well. A slightly larger prop at 40,000+ rpm will cavitate like hell until it hooks up but won't sustain forward velocity when slowing for turns. The boat will settle down, plow and slowly hook up again (until the meltdown)

#3-My field testing dictates a 33.5% CG (or 11.5") from the rear of the sponson tip under the overhang. Each setup is different but that's where mine likes to be. I could set it up looser but these Cat hulls WILL blowover heading into a puff regardless - tunnel hulls pack air to get them up & out but too much lift and they get aerobatic. Make a CG balancer and play with your CG once you get the powertrain dialed.

                              DSC04394.JPG DSC04395.JPG

#4- While we're at it, lose the hoses to the motor mount. These mounts are designed to help outrunner motors and by the time your cooling water streams through the ESC and motor it won't do much for the front of your inrunner and creates more flow resistance to the ESC & motor.

I may have delivered this information a bit strongly, but I (along with Mr. Heaving Earth and the rest of us crazies) want you to get there. Might take some bullet-biting, but once your Cheetah's dialed you'll be one happy camper, I guarantee it
