    First run with new motor/esc

Just ran my spartan for first time with new leopard 4074 1650kv and swordfish 200amp esc. Ran great got a lot of torque no GPS for top speed but temp on motor not sure about. After each run motor was 55-58 degrees C and esc was only 32 degrees C. Running 6s with 45x2.7 total pitch (1.6pitch), dual water in/out, timing set to 4 degrees. Is that temp and timing ok?

Well 58c is a bit warm. I'm not sure what the wind is on that motor, but try 11 or so, if it seems better go up to 15, otherwise go down from 0-3.

The best way IMO to figure out timing on a motor you don't know the wind is to time your runs and get temps as fast as you can after running. A motor with the wrong timing tends to run hotter due to its being inefficient. And visa versa, so when you start to see temps go down after a timed run you know you're on the right track.
        D wind motors like 0-3
        Y wind like 11-15

The 3674 1700kv is 2y, The 4082 1600kv is 2y also. Since your motor is right in the middle of these two my guess would be 2y

So I should move the timing up to 11 and check temps and compare to when running at 4 deg

You can try moving it up, or email ose and ask if they know the motor wind type for your motor

Thats a lot of prop to be running at 36600rpm unloaded, i would try an m445 which has 2.48" pitch with no tongues which reduces load further & then check temps.

                      Hi Mulisha,
                      Get some video's up.
I would like to see how it is running for you,
In my 36"mod to FE probaot Shockwave.
                      I run a 4074 2200kv leopard 15* timing and a 120a sk esc and a x646/3 prop on 2 4s pack in parallel,
It runs pretty cool and speeds of 45 mph gps so far.
Also looking to try a new Atomik V700 1100kv Marine Outrunner in it or a T600 1400kv Outrunner,
I just need to get or make a motor mount that is a good easy quick change.
For easy in and out testing.

Mulisha what prop are you running as im confused on the size you list ie 45mm x 2.7" pitch (1.6 ) . As a 45mm x 1.6 is 2.83" pitch.

My bad it is a 2.83 then in aus and I don't like inches :D. I would prefer to Change timing than buy a new prop

Just changing timing is not gonna help if the prop is to big or has to much pitch.. The prop you are using has to much pitch..I think a x442 or m445 would work better for ya and let your motor run cooler.
