The only thing I would like to add, a neighbor of mine bought a traxxis spartan. He didn't want to get into all the building and modifying like I do. He has a simple charger and a few stock batteries. He has fun. He runs his boat all the time, maintains the driveline, and runs it often. He really enjoys the simple fun of running the boat with no headaches. From reading all the posts it sounds like you would benifit from such a ready to run boat. Most of the people here enjoy the tinkering that goes along with fast electric boating but some just like the fun of running and those usually have reliable sport boats such a ready to run boats. They give little headaches when used properly. Might be in your best mental interest to eBay some of the problems and invest in such a boat so you can enjoy the simple pleasure of being on the water without smoke and wet shorts. Plus they are pretty fast too! Good luck my friend and hope you get the chance to go enjoy some stress free rc boating.

I always use 60/40 solder.
Are you really bad at math... no it's the only subject I got "A" throughout school. Even if I did suck at it, calcutors can be had for $1. I have 27-batts total, Jan charges $5.30 for 3-pak of Castle 5.5mm bullets 27 x $5.30 = $143.10 - sorry guy, that's not bad math, just reality.
27 batteries.
bullets come in 3 pairs per pack
each battery pack requires 1 pair of bullets
27 packs divided by 3 pairs per pack = 9
so you need 9 packages of bullets to do 27 batteries
9 x 5.30 = 47.70
47.70 not 143.10
are you getting this? go back to schoolComment

I think it's time to get off the Internet forum and actually go play with your boat. If you have that much going on in your life to where buying some bullets upsets your life that much, maybe you should pick up a new hobby, or not have one at all! Just saying...Comment
