Are you planning on running the 4s and 5s lipos in series or parallel?

Ok. I had a CF genesis with Nemesis Gold(Leopard)4082 2200kv that I ran on 6s and 8s using a swordfish 240A HV esc. Boat was extremely fast. Also Swordfish now has a 200a esc that's good up to 8s and its a good price on www.keithbradleyboats.com.

I would agree with bracka69. Use the 200a esc offered by keith bradley you can run up to 8s the esc offers great capabilities for the price. Have fun and go fast. You figure out which motor you'd like to run yet? I think leopard 4082 would work well for you.

            Are you saying you ran a 2200kv motor on 8s? And it didn't blow up within a minute? I wouldn't even run a 2200kv on 6s in a single drive 41" boat. I run a TP 4092 980kv on 8,9 and 10s. And on 9s with a s235 I've hit 69.2mph.

Plus a 2200kv motor on 8s is 65,120 unloaded rpms. I would love to see a video of that.

But I'm very conservative. I like my boat to run, and not smoke. But that's just my 2cents

              Hello Jason.
That is correct. I had no issues what so ever. The motor and esc performed flawlessly. The Nemesis Gold 4082 that Chris sells at www.finedesignrc.com is good up to 9s. We like to push things to the limits I guess lol.

                  Hello,
                  Chris from Fine Design recommend to use a X640 s/b on 8s and a X645s/b on 6s.

                    good up to 9s...
No, no it isnt. Especially not in a boat. Also, the nemesis gold, thats a Leopard. Nothing more. 2200kv is a 4s motor. 5s at the max in a single drive boat.

Anyhow, Flawless... If you want a well setup boat, that will run consistently DO NOT do what has been said in this thread. Those are saw setups. Actually, beyond and are pretty ridiculous. How fast do you want to go? The Turnigy 180 is an excellent esc for up to 6s.

Thx all I think I may go with Jason's motor suggestion and the kb esc... It won't be for a few weeks at the earliest!
