Spark arrester.

Hi is anyone using a spark arrester on the New castle hydra ice? i am looking to put a 2028 in my 57" p1 venom using 10s, and knowing what i get with 6s i can imagine what 40+ volts will do sparkwise!
Any suggestions will be gladly accepted. thanks..

I am assuming you will be running 10sp? If so this thing is pretty cool...

I run 11s1p per side in my boat and I use this

It has a neat setup and you will not get a spark if you use it correctly. Sometimes you'll get a really really small one like connecting a 2s pack but I'm pretty sure you're HV castle esc won't complain about it. Kintec sells a spark arrestor setup but I like minimizing how much wire floats around in my hull. Your boat should rip with the 2028!

Can you show me a picture how you soldered that? I assum you soldered the 2 red wires to the left connector and the 2 black wires to the other connector?

You have the castle 200 hydra ice, just tun the wires and then add some solder to the board. It takes a lot of heat to solder big wires to the board so in this order

1. tin the board
2. tin the wire and get it really hot
3. put the wire onto the board and using the tip of the iron heat up the wire and board at the same time so the solder melts and thats it you'll have a good joint. it really really helps if you have another person hold the wire in place while you do this thats for sure

Does Castle still reccomend NOT using an anti spark device? Was looking into installing them about a year ago and everything I read from Castle was not to use them.
Do a search and you can find the info on many Castle sections of different forums.
No idea just followed their suggestions and no problems so far.
