    are you using silver solder or electrical solder i was thinking something that the other guy said about the electrical being to soft and being that i used to do ac repair i have silver but that heat to melt silver worries me

      I use 45% on everything from .130 -.250. No worries!
      On my T Mono SAWs boat I tin the last inch of my .250 cables as I use couplings with three sets of three set screws 120 degrees apart. Again no worries.

        I use electrical and have never had a problem. If i was building huge power system boats I may think differently

          At your Local Welding Supply store. It does take acetylene.

                If you have a good torch MAPP (methylacetylene-propadiene) will work as well.
