    Hi Gill
Thanks for the info.I resharpened my props earlier tonite as per all the threads.I thought they were sharp.I only have the X460 ,462 AND 465. I live in South Africa and not much is avaliable.
I will try all the different strut lengths and the sharpened props next weekend
My reason for adding a overhang on the transom is for show only. Also gives me something to keep me out of the wifes hair !!!!
Are there any negatives to having a overhang. Continuing the same lines from the front sponsons.Only make boat about 2 inch longer.
    Cheers
    Graeme

from what i see on your strut it is not at 0 degrees even a small amount of angle at those speeds will cause the things you're describing. I used the skegged sruts for a while but decided to go away from them, I felt they made the boat react unpredictable in the turns, also the angle on them will act like an angled rudder forcing the nose of the boat up, not as much as an angled rudder but still the same effect..

Did you ever get your boat running right?

          Hi Oscarel
I have been so busy at work have not really had much time and the days that are free we have had a gale blowing. I did get in one quick run at our new lake and I managed a 64.3 mp/h and then had a major blow over. No damage !!!
I ran the boat with 1 deg positive on the strut and also had the strut down again to 12 mm above bottom of sponsons. I feel the boat still wants to take off so I will move the batts foward by about 5-8 mm for next run.

Something else of interest is I have received my new TP 4092 1600KV after blowing the last two. Both of them lost their magnets
This is going back into my RCMK Hydrolift 1200 that I was running with 2 x TP Motors with 2x Turnegy 180 ESCs on 6 cells with oct 447 counter rotating props with 2 85 mm stingers. Before I blew the motor I managed a speed of 73 mp/h and the boat is very stable.I does not turn well but on a straight line works well. I was expecting more speed than this and will still play around to see what I can do.Perhaps slightly bigger props as I have no heat at all on ESC and motors.
Will let you know what happens
          Cheers
          Graeme

my Conquest runs 62.5 mph (over 100 kph) on the rough water of lake Lanier.
              I use a x646/3 prop and 30% CG.
prop shaft centerline is 1/2" up from the sponson's bottom and drive dog is 3" back from the transom.
Please keep in mind I have very old 20c cells ( from 1996) that have high level of voltage sag under a load (high internal resistance)
So I compsenate with a higher cell count (actual cell count is 12s) this acts like fresh 9s cells.
Due to the cells condition, I am not over reving the motor..
prop angle is 0 degrees. rudder is offset to the left, lines up with the stringer for support.
              Motor is 813 rpm/volt Plett370
              29,200 rpm's
              slightly under 4,000 watts
I find the 3 blades keeps the hull "glued to the water".

Impressive early adopting there Harry, I was still on NiCads back in '96 and didn't get my first 6c LiPos until '04.

                  Paul,
it was later than '96. ( now I am thinking late 2006 ) In 1996 I was still running Nitro boats,........OOPS.....

A stupid typo error...... I need to not "fat-finger" the keyboard.

The cells are FlightPower 7,400 mah 20c cells.

2p configuration from the factory because 3,700 mah cells were the largest 20c cells at that time.

                  SORRY for a bad post.

                  Harry
