Do you think that would be better,or not necessary?
Or Just adjust the one spin fin to 90 the one that I already have in the first post if iam using it for oval racing do i only need the one?
I use two fins (helps it behave in the straights)....the right side fin is a little bigger than the left. With the boat sitting on a flat table and sitting level, set the right side fin so it just touches the table...the left side fin should sit a bit higher, maybe 1/2"....also the fins should be straight up and down, not kicked back much...

I would use the one you have for the right side and maybe one of the smaller carbon fiber fins from OSE for the left...

I changed my mock up motor to a inrunner 4074 1400kv and got the COG right on at 10.5"

the outrunner motor on the the inrunner mount didn't work right,

I will follow the above trim setup thanks
just need to get a good servo

Do you run your flex with a liner? looking for the best way to fit the stuffing tube and keep it dry.

Sounds good. The servo I am using is a Futaba S3016....plenty strong enough...

The carbon fin I am using for the left side of my Rico is part# 80049 ( you can also get part # 80062) both from the OSE store here ... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=67

I am not using a teflon liner....1/4" stuffing tube with .187 cable...I get no water through this...

Btw...I also run a seperate LiFE rec. pack...highly recommended! What esc do you have?

Just hope I don't have to run 2x3s packs instead of the 6s1p

looks good. Let us know how she handles. I run the same hardware. Ended up cutting the stinger down to get the leading edge of the rudder in line with the leading edge of the prop. Helped handling quite a bit.

I agree with Rum....I also extended my rudder bracket out about another 1 1/4"....

I also run 4S2P.....but run what you got.....

What do you think would be my best option
Extend the rudder some how! or replace the rudder with a longer arm one,or cut the stinger down
Do you think the rudder could be cut down in its length also as it does look very long for a FE

I would extend the rudder back before I cut the stinger down on this boat. You need a piece of flat stock 1/8" X 1" x 3" . Take it all the way back to the transom.

You need approx 1" of rudder deeper than the prop at it's lowest point.

                            Thanks Doug
I have the cog at the moment is at 10.5" from the transom
I think that works out at around 30%
                            Does that sound about right?

IME with the boat you are approx 1" forward with the CG. 30% is approx 9.5"
I see that Kent runs 34% in race water and that may work for you.
I like to keep the CG at 30% and add weight to the CG if the conditions are rough. Moving the CG forward can cause the boat to stuff if (when) it gets out of shape. You want it to fly level so it has a chance of recovering.

These boats tend to want to run a bit wet IMO compared to other monos the same size. Be careful and check temps often until you see what you have.

It's hard to tell by the pics but it looks like you may have more wire in your set up than you need. If that's the case shorten the leads, your equipment will thank you for it.

                                Just my .02
Good luck with it, I've had lots of fun with mine.
