Quality not too bad. Extremely thin fibreglass construction with little epoxy holding the stuff tube in place, but overall a fine piece of kit. Went together in less than 15 mins. Had to sharpen the rudder and turnfin(it was extremely blunt) and remove some burls from the water intake on the rudder. The turnfin mount is quite sturdy although only one bolt holding it in place. Hardware packet included with the kit, is quite comprehensive with a lot of spare grub screws and screws and bolts, etc.

        I will start with 2200kv on 5S with a X642 prop and a Swordfish 200+ ESC...

I started to fit her out and added some clear epoxy around the mount and stuffing tube. Still waiting on my motor and ESC from Steve. It will probably be here by Tuesday. Setting her up for 70mph according to FeCalc...

Can anyone tell me where in the length of this boat the CoG ( centre of gravity) should be for optimum performance?

ESC to one side with enough space for 5S lipo beside it. Lipo still on its way...

I installed a 24V capacitor to help the receiver smooth things out. I run this setup on all my RC cars as well.

                Receiver at back.

Voltron GPS speed logger installed as well.

                    Nice one.
Where did your COG end up.
Mine is at about 4" behind the Heel of the sponson. No room for adjustment with the battery.
Just a word of warning. Over the year I've broken the spars twice. So after the last one I put a smaller tube inside the main tubes with a 5/32" piano wire spar inside that.

I trust that we will see a video shortly?
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Disaster struck! On her maiden voyage she ran beautiful for the first pass and then I tried to turn left instead of right. Wrong move! She couldn't make the turn and ran slowly into a moored boat. No major damage, but water began seeping into the hull and the water resulted in erratic steering and throttle movements and she crashed into the jetty right at my feet...! Spars broken! I have the first pass on vid and will post that as soon as possible...
