P mono suggestion

I'm hoping to be able to build a boat to run in p mono for the 2013 race season in D19. In my dream world there is a hull out there that can be fast with p ltd power for p ltd mono and p ltd offshore but also hold its own in p mono and p offshore with a 1515 1y or a 1521 1.5d There are a ton of choices out there. Df26, df29, Titan29, Titan33, jet chopper 30, pursuit 32 IB34 . Another thread out there is making the df26 seem like a solid running hull with big power but I am questioning its ability to stay upright in race water. Flipping is obviously a possibility with any hull but some are more prone then others right? Can any of the aforementioned hulls do it all or am I really just dreaming over here?

What do you call a P Mono? What is the size of the hull?

Any v hull without steps up to 34 inches. Any motor and esc. 4 s lipo power

My DF33 works very well as a "P". I also have tried a spec motor in it and that was just OK. My 6yr old grandson could drive it as it wouldn't get into trouble. I have a feeling anything larger than 30" in spec will give away too much. On a side bar in Huntsville we powered up the DF33 with a 1521 on 6S for a couple 1/4 mile record runs and it turned roughly within a second of the Q record Chris Krawczyk set earlier in the day. Mid 22 seconds on a low 21 second record. Running on the 1/3 mile the speed was too much and it went tumbling through the traps doing enough damage to end it's day. Moral of the story is small boat big power will probably end in disaster.

In this case you have to build the hull for a P system with the hopes of keeping it light to run P-Ltd. It's pretty hard to take a specific P-ltd hull and power with a full P system. The DF26 is a competitive P-ltd hull for offshore races where time reduces top speed. They ca also be set-up to run 6 lap P-ltd class too, but this is a razor's edge. A DF26 cannot compete in a heat race against other full P boats.

I would look at the DF33 or Cyberstorm or the IB34. Since we mostly race full P power systems in D19 I would spec the hull along those lines.

Mic we've had a P Mono show up in SOWEGA a time or two with a 1527 / 40.160 and the 1515s 1521s/ CCs held their own. (you still have to drive it)
Personally I like the 1515. I'll take more RPM with a smaller wheel over fewer RPM and a larger wheel on a P Mono on the big course hands down,(drive-ability) but that's just me.

I run a TP4092 2100kv (?) and really like the rpms with a smaller prop
