If you're in 2" chop the ul1 might not be the best. 1" ripple it does well tho, and fast. As far as rtr boats that will hit 50 reliably in some 2-3" chop? Not really gonna happen. You can get high 40's out of some with light modification, but if you want to Krank 50 thru choppy water, you will need to build one or have someone build for you.

47 is pretty good, but isn't a 545 an aweful lot of prop? How does it handle? What are run times like? Temps?

          Gday
Most the hulls recommended above are ex-USA... with plus plus postage

There are a couple LHS in Au who cater FE boats.. ( these same as most everywhere else buy most stock in from China. )

The pursuit is manufactured 'locally' .. so possibly a better option re delivery to Oz.
Not an rtr @50mph .. but a quick update and it's achievable.

There are many 50+mph FE boats available in Au that have been built and set by competent ppls.
Size, budget, runtime expectations all aid in selection

I stand corrected. Stock motor and esc? Must have been trimmed up nicely to get that on 4s!

There are a bunch of Revolts running the m545 and getting speeds in the 47 hood. Run times are approx 4 minutes on a 4200mah pack. Stock Aquacraft motor & ESC.

              and No heat issues......yet

And to think I've been spending more money for the bigger motors when I could just put a little aquacraft motor in and run a big prop.

Ok guys, thinking of grabbing this boat as Bully is prepared to ship. Seems to have a decent set-up to have some fun with and perhaps improve on later if I get bored...

                  Thoughts please???

                      Hi
                      that setup looks ok.
postage for that to OZ is ~150-->200 !!!
The motor is rather average, ditto esc.
To build that out here would be around 150 hull, 100 hardware, 150 motor+esc.
Dont pay too much for a pre-used pre0abiused hull.

I think hardware ends up well over $100, when you add in flex shaft, cooling lines/fittings, 8mm bullets, collet, motor mount etc., and you forgot the servo/servo mount, and external BEC.
For reference, I paid $325 shipped.

and you have a good deal for that coin.
btw, hardware to Au, sourced direct from China, is <2/3 US cost ( less postage ! )
