      schulze esc sent back to icare ( it buzzed faintly when hooked up to power ) It may have been my fault . after it kited it landed right side up and i instinctively tried to bring to shore it didnt go probably shorted something my mistake.

        Yeah, that is a no-no to do after a flip with possible water damage. ICARE is going to send it back to Schulze for reapair. Probably looking at $150 to repair.

          Stupid question but do you both mean the solution would have been to go out and retrieve it as opposed to drive it in under its own power? That it was not worth the risk in case something was loose and/or wet?

          I guess a positive thing is you have it and are only down an ESC.

            Correct. Unless you know 100% that the inside and speedo are dry you should always retrieve, unplug and dry. I have saved several Schulzes from repairs by not trying to drive them back to the beach. I dry them out and they work fine.
