Getting my boat to work??

Somewhere it's impossible to tell what batteries it should run.Choosing the wrong voltage to run it at could make short work of the electronics if you choose to high a voltage, too low and it will be slow.Once you've determined the voltage of the batteries, you can run and this is usually found through some trial and error. Although you can get a rough idea of this by the size of the motor. It won't work out to be an exactly available battery voltage of course so you choose the battery voltage that is closest. The size of the boat and motor determine battery capacity. Too big a battery will effect the handling of a small boat, too small a battery you will have shorter runtimes and would have to work harder to supply the current.

I could be wrong tho, looking thru the thread it doesn't specify the kv of the motor. What lead you to buy 2s packs,Comment

Honestly Im not sure. I haven't had the boat for like a month and I don't know anything about rc stuff at all. I know it should say on motor I just never looked and don't have it now to look. I got it in a trade for dirt bike parts.Comment

Alright I'll talk to the RC guy. He just asked me if it needed to run in series or parallel. He said if it runs it series it will go FAST but not have long battery life. I got two batteries like that because a guy earlier in the thread recommended I get em.Comment

He was asking me if I had an info on the boat because he did a lot of digging and couldn't find anything on the motor...Comment
