You can go as narrow as 2 1/2" on the tub with the UL1 motor. .150 flex will be fine. I only heat race my JAE so I have no idea how long I can run it. Typically the boat can do 8 laps total in the upper 50's with a H7 with no problem. I use a 5000 mAh pack.

I'd go with the 4074 like others have suggested. I run the 4074 and a T180 in my JAE and it's a blast. I don't race, it's just for fun. I get decent run times with a H-7 and a modified 1450. The motor will swing a bigger prop but my run times decrease as I go up. I've made a fast pass of 72mph with the combo but usually keep it propped in the low 60's and just have fun with it. I started with the UL-1 power plant but as usual I got the itch, luckily I built the JAE 1/2" wider ahead of time and everything fits nicely.

kenny, what is the difference between the seaking 180 esc and a t180 esc, would that leopard 4047 and seaking180 be a good choice for my rigger. and are you running one or two pack and is it 4s.

chilli, are you saying that you use the ul-1 set-up in your rigger if so, is the the 60a esc and the 3656 2030 kv motor, and are you running one or two pack and what is it 4s. for the mid 50mph.

The Seaking 180 & T180 are the same esc.

Just my opinion but I'd go with the 4074 or 3674, you'll have more fun with it. The UL1 setup is great, guys are getting some crazy speeds out of it but it takes a lot to get there. I ran in the high 50's with it but the bigger motor has more punch for the smaller lake I run at. I run 4s packs and sometimes 2s2p just depends on what i have at the time. I'm not racing or going for all out speed, it's just a fun boat to run. You can only run nitro/gas on certain days of the week now at the lake so FE is where I'm at.

It depends on the packs you buy go to RCLipos.com they have the sizes in mm you will need to use a converter to read in inches.Use this link for that.
