Sorry to hear that. But..... It's part and parcel of this hobby unfortunately. Despite my best efforts I have also killed a Seaking 180 as a result of a nasty - but spectacular - dive beneath the surface. I bet many people on this forum will have a similar story. Get another one and seal it up with a decent sealant. Now you know that the SK 180's definitely are not waterproof. I currently have 2 in two different boats and I can tell you, as soon as I find a good watertight box they fit in I'm doing it. I've sealed them up as best I can with sealant but I still get nervous......

Not sure how you will go claiming water damage on a marine esc. Warranty and r/c boat equipment usually don't go together - unless it's a clear manufacturing defect. I am willing to be proved wrong though...

Hello, I'm pretty sure that you can get an electronics cleaner&sealer from cc racing that might bring that esc back from the dead. They've had some success with it getting receivers to work again after being dunked. I think that it's called some type of trio pack. Goodluck with it, I hope that you can get it working again. Jamie.

Not sure if you can bring one back once you can smell silicone burning. Lol anyway I sent it back for repair and ordered some corrosion-X for its next swim.
