Interesting do you push or pull dead boats with it?

We have found it easier to pull. When we pull a boat in with the grappling hook we just go out and turn around the stranded boat and head back to shore. When we pushed a boat in sometimes due to wind or distance it's hard to line up the boat and keep them from slipping off each other. Of course if you use a push or catch rig on the front of the boat pushing a boat in gets easier.

I use a stock Rio EP with a 7 cell battery with a homemade PVC pitchfork adapter bungee corded to the RIO, works like a charm.

I'm using a Traxxas Blast, towing a gaff (the proboat rescue duck gaff, but towing a tennis ball works well to). The Blast has enough power to bring in a fairly large boat, and the steerable drive makes it easy to maneuver at low speeds. Plus, it is a fun little boat to let the kids play with.

Have found this sweet craft on Australian Ebay - was thinking about its potential for a rescue boat using it to tow the tennis ball type of arrangement. Doesn't have reverse, is reverse desirable but not essential? Would appreciate your thoughts & comments

For the money , this is the best boat for the job, and the steerable out drive is a huge plus.
Too many boats, not enough time...
