I bought that boat some time ago & now run it as my EA 4s mono. Different motor , ESC & drive line, bit it goes OK. But trust me, gfm1135, it took a lot of work to get it to run properly.
Take the advice of Brushless55 & propperchopper, The Pursuit package from OSE is a much better deal. By far.
Here's some video of mine with a TP power 4082 2180kv motor spinning a 'Prop Shop' 4214/3 blade prop on 4s1p with an old Hi Model GX200A ESC. The start was the testing & set up day at our Boondall club & then at 12:50 in the video it is in a race at our Pine Rivers club finishing with a spectacular flip.
The blue & white Whiplash hydro racing in between is mine too.

I really would like to (and also keep my dollars in USA) but a purchasing the lipo he suggests and shipping I'm looking at approx 575. A little more than I can spend. Hoping to be around 450 all in.

Any suggestions on a lipo less than 100 for this boat? I really would prefer the pursuit.

Ask Steve if he has a hull & hardware new, you never know what you will get unless you ask!!

I would like to but they don't offer a hull with hardware. I have never built from a bare hull.

You can buy lipos for less than that. You're doing sport running get some 40c packs from another source and buy the boat from steve.
