Husky he was asking about "his" car motors, yes you can run car motors but from your post i see that most of your cars are 1/10th scale and most of those motors are smaller 2 cell motors that don't translate well to boats, that was my "assumption" but as we all know assumption is the mother of all f--k ups!!!! so I retract my statement if you have some larger 1/8, 1800-2400 kv 4 cell motors, they will work fine, but I wouldn't bother with the 1/10 scale motors unless you have some smaller boats to run on 2S. the 3800kv motor is a 2S or 3S motor but unless we know what size it is and the watts, it's hard to determine what you can run it in.

Motor is a 3674 1700kv motor.
Run the stock 225 prather prop with 4s. I did plenty of experimenting with 4s and 5s with prop sizes, taking temps with a temp gun etc..
I found the stock 225 prop best of the ones I tried on 4s to get me around 35mph with safe temps. Running on 5s I used a smaller prather 220 and ran 40+mph still within safe temps...ran the 225 on 5s once but temps got too high for my comfort so that's when I started the search for a smaller prop that would work.
I would not run larger props than that on the ESC that is in there...yes those are small props for such a large boat..but they work. The setup is underpowered obviously for that large boat like I had told you, but it still works if you run it as I mentioned...that's how I ran it and I loved it. Now if you want to experiment with larger prop sizes I would started by getting a 180a ESC and watch motor temps closely...but I tried several prop sizes on 4s and 5s and those were my results so take it for what it's worth. The boat was setup exactly how I needed to it be..was reliable for me, temps were safe, and I got the speeds I wanted out of it out of both 4s and 5s.
