The one I just received from the same seller does not use a plate. See pics it has a large tube soldered to the board on either side of the esc. I plan to add 4 additional capacitors to it also and soak it in corrosion x all weekend.

These things seem real hit or miss. Think I'll stick with the other brands.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Some of the best esc makers in the world use the same cooling technique. The bleed off the heat via the thick copper pcb soldered direct to the cooling tubes. It's very efficient and Schulze, YGE, etc... use this method.

Did you read that link to the other forum? Very informative.

Sorry my bad. A similar thread had this link in it. Very sorry.

YGE 120 HV The YGE 120HV is a dedicated heli ESC designed for up to 14S operation @ 120Amps. This ESC has the highest On-Resistance compared to any

Look at the YGE esc. It is the air version but, the only chage for the boat version is the addition of 2 brass tubes soldered to the board.

BTW, HK & HiModel Knocked off the YGE to be YEP or HiModel. HiModel has a marine version of the YGE 120HV. I sold a pair of HiModels in the swap shop, gave up on high voltage, staying at 6S or lower now.
