Hey man! When and where are you guys running now? Haven't seen you since spring, lol. Wouldn't mind making the pilgrimage down your way to do some running one of these weekends.
Want to see some of your boats on the water instead of in pieces on you bench being built!
Did you get that big hydro done yet? Wasn't it a Stealth?
    Cheers
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I'll make a thread on it and some of my boats.

I've got most done except the pair of twin cats.

      PTSS done
      Miss Geico modded done
Open mono done, burnt up batss, cleaned out and here I am now, in this thread trying to get it going again.

I will be selling a batch of unbuilt hulls really cheap soon, Canada firt and then abroad. I mean cheap, cheap...

I'll let you know first. Hope you've been well.

We run at Boxwood pond in Cambridge mainly, some splintered off to stay with NLMBC and run up in Alliston, too far for me and my old Jelopy car.

GRMM is the club I'm in now and we are having lots of fun.... when I remember my Tx that is... lol...

ray if you can afford the better cells, Dinogy 6S 65C 5000's about $140-150 each or Turnigy nanotec Aspecs about $105 for a 6S 65C 4000 and parallel them I think you will be much happier and your cells will last 2-3 seasons.

I'll vouche for the Dino cells too. My 3700's are Dinogy cells. We beat the b'geezus out of them at the shootout. They kept coming back for more.

Thanks MIke & Terry, I'll look at those cells. 6S would be less expensive than 7 or 8 and I like to be able to run a little longer than just 7 laps, like 10 laps would be nice.

The few laps it did run decent its a very stable boat.

4000 to 5000's on 2P sounds good, I think I can handle that.

Better to go 65C Dinogy or maybe Aspec, we'll see what I can afford.

These are the cells I'm looking at.

              http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

If I were to get Dinogy cells, I'd have to use UPS and they will charge me $100 extra at the door just because they can or, try to...

I hate UPS and I rarely say I hate anything.

Some retailers like Electronic component sales have brokers that take care of the brokerage that eliminates that $100 fee from UPS. It would be nice if USA hobby retailers could do the same but, the volume must not be there??? I dunno, free trade is only for Big Corps. and millionaires maybe...

                Ray,
Alot depends on the hull. Ran 1P in my 1/8th scale but would not dare in my last (XXX) open mono...plus the fact that the motors were quite a bit different. A 3060 in the mono and a plett in the scale.

I hope you and the family are well.

wow, I did not think a big hull with a big motor like that could run 1P for that long.

Thanks Ray. I may get out again someday.

The Herzog mono (I had one a few years ago) is designed to give the hull lift. It is a good under powered hull. Ended up converting mine to stock gasser, which ran very well with tht power plant, was far too unstable with 2P and a 3060 lehner. Paul Pach set mine up. His ran on the ragged edge...but thats how Paul liked it.

                              Yup,

The normal McKellips pond was drained to retrieve the flotsam and jetsam (bodies) so this was the alternative. Turn one exit was a bee-atch

After a few laps the back-slop got hairy. The green (chicken-driven by me) DF33 had it's hands full but the most fun was out-dragging Bill M on the front straight and a-skeering him into a buoy cut on turn one a few laps in.

                                Ray don't care. haha

That first video made me think of something. Why do we (NAMBA) charge a lap penalty for a cut with electric boats? Just stupid IMO. Should be a point system like IMPBA. With a fuel boat there's no cost impact with doing an extra lap or two. Two extra laps with an electric could be that boats last run on those cells. I know I know..........don't cut. Like ya do it on purpose. A $100 penalty would be a cheaper than the two laps with some of these boats.
