I have emailed the owner of TLR and told him about this thread. I see I am not the only unhappy customer and don't talk behind someones back. Maybe some good will come out of this. Lets hope so at least.

"I was given your email on a forum and don't know if you care or not, but I have started a thread and it's not fair to bash your company for services "not" rendered without your knowledge and without letting you have your input. Offshoreelectrics.com"

I live on the other side of the world. I needed some props and other things. I called Steven on the phone. 7 days later I was testing those props. That is GOOD service

I say let this one die guy's. Nothing constructive can come of it. Things have a way of taking care of them selves.

I think he is trying to remedy the situation. On the other forum, he genuinely sounds like he wants to help. Let him know what and why you are disappointed and proceed from there.

hmm ill join in on this bash...

while back when i was looking for hardware for my wood hydro.

I told them the truth of what people thought and they respond:

You honesty is much appreciated at the same time, I wonder if those speaking so poorly of my products actually have them. One thing that has always puzzled me. As far as a rudder and a turn fin for your wooden hydro, I will share discount with you in trade for your reply on the parts. Consider they are on all the top RTR points boats, I would assume they work well. As far as customer service, Well I'm talkin to ya, and saying I will give a discount. So pretty sweet to me. So what you read, may not be true.

Now a far as your boat, you tell me what you need I will custom build it for you special boat. My parts are designed around RTR, so making something for your boat would be a plus for me. All I need is stand off and height of rudder blade from top to bottom. The turn fin I am sure will be a good choice already, it has been attached to a very fast FE Vegas.

                THEN:

                Dear blazinstyle,

Since your email doent seem to work, I am sending here maybe you will get. If the links dont work copy and paste into your browser.

New rudder with water pick up in blade.

The SLICK STICK turn fin. Its slick, and it sticks, should keep your woody on the surface.

I asked for prices and got this:

                Hello

You may visit the TLR website for prices and ordering if you think it will work for you. Regardless of what you read in some forum. This does not mean its you. We have extended our courtesy to you as we would to any TLR customer. Forum disgust us, and we have no manner for any person who approaches us with forum I heard trash. We are a respectable growing R/C company who cares about our customers.

Have A Nice Day And Thank You,
                Debra
                TLR Customer Service

                Of course my response was:

You tell me to refer to the website and i dont see anything of which i was shown.

I asked for prices...and you "have no manner for any person who approaches us with forum I heard trash.", its the truth when people are running high end motors and lipos going 40mph+, hardware matters... in my opinion that is.

good customer service would point me in the right direction, unless i missed something on your site...

only thing that looks decent is the slick stick turn fin...

I was suprised last night when reading my email and receiving an email from James with his phone number or stating that he would call me. At 1230 he called me and we talked till about 2am. He seemed to care and I can understand where he is coming from. I do wish I would have received good customer service in the first place. Things aren't always perfect. It's how you solve them is what matters.

12:30-2am sounds like he's trying to help the situation. He does realize that his online busy will severely suffer with online forums against him. Good move on his part, however, this shouldn't have had to take place. #1 rule is customer satisfaction first.

I have no experience with Twisted, but Ray Fuller has what you guys need for this boat. Email him for quick and quality service.

No more good vibes will come from this thread. Time to shut it down and move on.
