I would run two 4s packs in parallel to get the most run time

I'm not sure if the motor (or motor wires/connectors) would handle 6s even if the ESC could, that's something Darin would probably know/be able to help with. You could definitely run the two 4s packs in parallel though, it would just take a bit of rewiring.

I'm pretty sure there's a how-to section in the Revolt's manual about how to wire up the ESC for parallel batteries.

At practice last night we had two Revolts running laps. I'm not hating on ProBoat honest. I have two. Like em a lot. But I just don't see how anything RTR can compare to the Revolt. Out of the box these things run really well. I also haven't heard any complaints about quality yet. Not from our guys at least. We only have 4 of them though so probably not a large enough sampling to declare perfection. haha

All the RTR offerings have quality hiccups. Nature of the beast. It's a price point thing.

Have you guys had any Revolt vs Impulse grudge matches out at the MMEU stomping grounds yet? I think I speak for a lot of the OSE types when I say I'd like to see video from that if/when it happens.

that would be awesome impulse verse revolt

hey guys im looking at lipos for when i order the boat

is the 4s ran in parallel alot more run time, i no common sense it will but what about heating up the esc and motor
the reason why im asking is 4s are double the price of 2s and the c rating is lower on that price point for 4s

                  i can get 2s 5000 mah 50c and for the double the price im getting a 4s 5000mah 40c
is there going to be a difference in punch from the 40 4s verses the 50c 2s

plus if i get 4s packs i have to get a new charger my charger is about 7 years old and only charges upto 3s

                  thanks guys

I have had my Impulse since last August. Not too crazy about the stock electronics on the first version. It does take some work to get it going quick. The best I have done after the motor and ESC upgrade is 50 so far but she has the potential to do more. pretty solid and good quality finish. Can fit 6s or 2X 4s in parallel.

                                (2) 2s pack in series or (1) 4s pack is the same thing. The motor wont care a lick if it's 40c or 50c cells. At the amperage these pull you wont see any voltage difference. Well maybe you will but it will be less than .01 volts per cell I would think. Guessing. The difference is so minuscule it's fair to say it doesn't exist.

Our guy that has the Impulse also has a Revolt. He wont run the Impulse because well......he has Revolt. Before he picked up the Revolt he opted to run a Delta33 instead of the Impulse because he didn't like it in race water. Could be that he just didn't spend enough time messing with it. Some guys don't have the patience to fiddle with a boat. He's a boat loon with a lot of boats.
