I've not actually raced either but I have raced against them both. I'm partial to the Revolt.

Both are pretty good quality but it seems like the Revolt takes less tinkering to get it where you want it.

Every time I make a statement like that I end up meeting someone with an example proving me wrong. An Impulse that rules or a Revolt that wobbles.

Another option is to build what you want if you have those kind of skills. All of the Delta Force boats are great. You can get a Delta hull and all the pieces right here on OSE. FighterCat sells a 32" mono hull that runs great too.

I own both....Revolt and the Impluse generation #1.

Can't go wrong with either, but out of the box, the Revolt was easier to get into the mid 40's with.

I think it's pretty clear by what they said.... easier to set up and get running in the mid 40's than the impulse is.

The new aquacraft fiberglass boats are great, and run very well right out of the box.

One big thing you might want to consider is that the Impulse 2 won't be out until late September, so if you want to run at all this summer it's not an option.
Light travels faster than sound, so people may appear to be bright until you hear them speak.

My Impluse is built like a tank (heavier) so that hinders it a bit (not a bad thing if you are into bashing though). Also, the Impulse is actually 29" on the hull with a transom overhang whereas the Revolt is truly 30".

So far I like my impulse much better. Stock the revolt may be faster but who leaves em stock.
The impulse in my opinion is a better made boat quality wise.
I haven't had very good luck with aquacraft boats holding up over time.

I've yet to see/run/race a Revolt, but I'm a fan of my Impulse. Haven't had to do much to get it set up and running well and everything seems to be good quality and well built. Maybe not quite as fast, but those few mph don't mean a whole hell of a lot unless you're racing. Both boats are well designed and we've got access to both Grim and Darin here on the forums, which is a great asset IMO. The Revolt will be cheaper as the new version of the Impulse, but it's rated for 20 less amps on the stock ESC (Pretty sure that's the biggest difference besides the hull).

i had a aquacraft boat a few years ago first barrel roll it cracked the hull i returned it back to tower hobbies
so thats why im leaning more towards proboat

the cool thing is proboat says its 6s compatible
is that true can we really run 2 3s packs on the new impulse

I don't think it's a 6s out of the box boat. I think that they mean the esc can be run on 6s but it's only 80a so if you go above the rated 80a it prob won't last long. Personally I would stick with 4s.
