The "mod" I was referring to is only for eagle tree data loggers. It makes the 150 amp able to read 300 amps. I have several castle controllers with data logging. The reason I bought one of these was to swap between the boats that don't have data logging controllers. And I wanted to compare them. And I wanted to use the gps for some speed estimates. I haven't used the et yet, just got done soldering 8mm bullets with the modification to be able to use on some of my high amp setups. This is the link http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ee+data+logger.

Cooper, thanks for the link. Makes good sense and helps a lot.

So the question regarding data loggin for the Castle Ice and perhaps the Swordfish controllers. How do you look on the value considering the built in data loggin features of the ESC's that have data loggin built in? What does the Eagle Tree bring to the party that higher end speed controllers don't?
