I have a single motor apparition that I have upgraded the motor to a 1520 Castle/Neu. I had to modify the hatch to make it fit. So far I've done a few runs on 6s. Word of advice, if you go to this size motor, do an inlay of CF or CK, that's where I'm at now. I'm still running the .150 flex but will have to upgrade I know to the 3/16. The ESC is the turnigy 180, I'm looking to go to the FC 2-8s 240A, the motor can be run @ 8s for SAW runs so that's where I'm headed. Its already a monster @ 6s. The props I've run are the X440 and 545, as soon as I get it back together I will test a 645 Aluminium prop from FC.
I just got those two 1900 kv motors from HK today in the mail, not sure what boat I am gona use it in, but I cant wait to see how it performs, it looks well made, let me know how you like the 3674 2200 kv, your gona run it on 4s correct? Shawn.
X440/3 blade is a good prop for that motor & that size cat. For short runs an X642 is quick.
What ESC are you running. You should use at least a 180A.
Be sure to set your ESC timing to low ( Around 1 - 3 degrees is good) because the motor you have is a D wind.
Im runnig a cc1515 2200 on a t180 with a m545 bsp prop on 4s 40c and runtime is limited cause i cant fit a water jacket on mine but by far one of my fastest most relieable boats
this is her on the same setup but an etti 150 that was smoking untill a water clog malfuntion tok care of that t180 much more robust and i use onr on my sc truck mever a heat problem even though its a water cooled esc being cooled with air
