    Apparition Offshore Brushless single motor

I just wanted to make a thread for all of us who have or had an Apparition single motor boat. I'm not new to RC but i still feel like a total newb to the RC boat world. I'm trying to read every thread i can possibly find to find as much info on this boat. I'm looking for spare parts and possible upgrades, if you have any sugestions please post and if you can please include a link to the part your suggesting would be helpful to myself and many that are new and want to break into the world of RC boats.

    thank you!

Go to your boat on HK and then discussions and check out the ultimate motor upgrade vid, I just ordered 2 of them, its a better motor than the one you were looking at, 1700 watts.

I cant wait to get the two I ordered to try it, they have been out of stock for a real long time, they just came in a few days ago, but I dont think they will last too long, its not alot of money, seems powerfull.

I am still learning about props myself, I have about a year into FE boating, but I would think you would want a little bigger prop, maybe a x442, or a x642 or a m445, I just had a member BSP a x643 and a m445 for me, the best way to tell what prop to run is to check your temps, but you may want to ask a person that knows more about prop size, but the more prop you can run the better, as long as it doesnt over heat you motor and esc.

If you going to order from HK you may think about getting a turnigy t180 esc, would be a good upgrade if you have the stock esc in the boat, its a little big in size but I think it will fit in the boat, they work well.

Wouldng the XK-4074 2000kv motor be a better choice?

I hate videos like that, people giving bad advice but newbs see it and think "wow thats so fast and powerful". Its running the wrong KV to voltage and not setup properly.

                          try a 2000-2200kv 3674 can on 4s

                            Is this a better option?

I put a leopard 4082 2200Kv, T-180 ESC, 4S2P in my single motor Apparition running an Octura X442 prop with excellent results. I would buy your stuff here on OSE - the parts will be at your door in 3-4 days vice 3-4 weeks from HK. And, the total cost isn't much higher when you add in HKs overseas shipping costs. JIM
