Ok well. Do you have some usefull information for me ? Did I post in the wrong forum? I am trying to learn from experianced people. When new pilots come to me to learn to fly I try to give all the help I can. Is that not the way here? I fell like I have done something wrong. Besides buying a bad deal. I was hopeful I could get on the right path here ? Anyone?

If you run 6s2p, and start smallish on the prop (x447), and check temps... I'd bet you'll be just fine. I've ran that motor and esc combo in a few boats, and it ran flawlessly. 50 mph? Yeah, that's do-able.

I would be very careful with the T180 on that motor. The motor is a beast. Im putting a T180 along a 4074 Leopard on 4S. But hey, Im still learning.

IMHO I would sell the ESC you just bought and get something in the 200+ amp range.

Best advice is look at others with the same boat (well basically) and the same motor. Copy that.

Search for Diesel6401 Osprey and Vanquish. You will see his work with boat boats, equipment used, tips and results.
42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)

Thank you for the Useable advice. I did look at the video of Diesels Boat, Haven"t researched his setup other than that yet. But I am looking for it now.
:-) Thanks Rumdog I was just looking for a starting point. I do appreciate any advice other than go pound sand. :-)
The T-180 I Believe will be fine if I go easy on the amps as Rumdog pointed out. I was really looking to see what others would choose for a prop selection to start with and now I have an Idea on that. Researching this subject I have seen a few boats similar with this motor so I know I am not flat busted with it. And after watching Diesels video I questioned myself on the Esc. he is running a 240 amp .I have only run nitro boats before and most of my airplanes run gasoline but I have gotten into electrics for about three years.
I posted a picture of me with one of my airplanes. That is me on the right with the Redbull.
Thanks and please keep the Good advice up for us newbies.

Theres nothing wrong with the T180, remember that the 180 still rated for a higher burst current than 180

Honestly, though, your more likely to melt off bullet connectors once you hit 150 Amps anyway

im about to get an osprey, i got the persuit but i just want a bit more room and be able to take it out in the lake when its a bit rougher, taking the 4074 out to put in my other genesis, and putting in a 5682 COKE CAN :D

                  ok another question

So I have these packs, batteries.jpg They are 5000 Mah 3 cell 45-90 c Nano Techs and 5000 Mah 2 cell 40 c GForce batteries. So if I ran these as 2 , 5s packs do you think I would have a chance with the previously mentioned and photographed boat setup . Can I run these together with different c-ratings and or burst rates ?I also measured the prop it has on it and it has a dia. of 1.906 . So pretty close to the x447 in dia. not sure how to measure the pitch. hub has been milled off. I am a toolmaker so I could measure the pitch if I knew how.
By the way I have had some good luck with the batteries from Valuehobbies I paid $53.97 for this pair delivered to my door in three days. Chandler Arizona.
