It really didn't take must effort to run these speed. This was its second run. I just set it up like always. Bad shaft assembly is correct. I always make a flat spot, locktite and its done not this time. After I drilled this one shaft I look at it and thought bad idea. Live and learn. Been busy fishing so haven't ran it much. I tried the 1718 it didn't work too much lift so I'm looking for a prop w/the same lift and results as the x series but more pitch. I'll have to bend one up I guess. MM

Yes, you will have to de-lift the ABC, not tough to do. That DF 26 is one surprising hull, it performs better than the larger 33" at high speeds. One club member has one and it is amazing to watch it in rough water - it just won't blow off (usually). For whatever reason the 33" seems a lot more difficult to get to go fast and stay down - counter-intuative but true.

I think its awesome. But why all the negativity and nay-sayers? I have no reason to doubt you, and why would I? Good job, and GREAT job answering some of these posts with a cool calm head. Unlike me alot of times, lol. Keep up the good work bud, it is TOOOOOOOO awesome. By the way, Flint, MI? I am not far from there. South of Lansing myself, you? Love the loons!!!! Always a favorite of mine. I would love to wet a line in that lake too!!! And a hull!

Matt (and obviously anyone with ideas),

How is it that you can even get close to 80mph? What is the setup secret to keeping the damn boat stable? I feel that mine is a bit squirrly at low 40's? CG was at 30% but had a few nose hooks, so moved it back to 27-28% Now better, but still lots of chine-walk at full thottle and especially when I wind down the RPMs from WOT.

Running a 120A ESC, 2 2-cell 5,000mah lipos (I thing 30C), AQ 1800kv motor and S&B X640 with Speedmaster stinger. Stays just barely warm to cool. No stabs, but with medium turn fins. Any suggestions?

            Sean

I have a build called "df26 saw build" look at that. Just remember the build and boat is set up for straight line performance. It sounds like you have the strut to low or too much lift via prop. Get the ass end down in the water. I have the stinger several mm up for the bottom of the hull but its straight w/ the hull and give 1mm down on the tabs also a X or M series octura prop works good for me. I don't worry about cornering, just a flat run at high speed. Later, MM.
