Looking nice man, but you might want to consider taking those tamyia plugs off and using deans or bullet connectors, Id hate to see ya drive it and have it stop in the middle of the lake cuz the plugs melted from too many amps, or something worse. Are you going to video your maiden run?

im using pigtails with deans and tamiya connectors. i just got back from it first run and i totally fogot the camera.... everything went well, top speed on 12 cells was around 38 mph. handles great, i don't think it need water cooling, cause it didn't get to hot even on 12 cells, but im going to make a top with some air vents one u front and one in the rear , so air should be forced trough out the in side.

Is that the amount of rudder stand off BBY recomends for the 21????? I look's like 4 or 5 inches to much IMO.

it turns really good with it. i replaced the traxxas with a hitec servo. last night i took the motor apart and replaced the 5 turn armater with a 3 turn. i hooked up the motor on my work bench and it is insane.....can't wait to have sitting in my cat. i was thinking doing water cooled and air cooled with air vents built on the hatch.

I think the water cooling will be your best bet. Air scoops might not be so great if it flips over.

heres a vid of a bench test with the new 3 turn armature. (warning, don't turn the volume up to much on your pc)
sounds pretty kick a$$ i think

i have a question, im afraid the sparks coming out of the motor will burn the plasic hull so im going to lay a piece under the motor so the sparks don't screw up the hull, but i don't know what material to use, i was thinking so thick styrene, or plexiglass? any suggestions, thanks

i think you should design like a cock pit over where the motor hole it andput a vent on top of it. make it look like a racing cock pit
