First of all just wanted to say Hi to everyone as this is my first post. Been reading the forum for a few weeks and have learned alot from all of you. Would like to apologise in advance as I am new to the electric rc boats. I have run a nitro AC Model Wave Slave in the past but have recently sold this as I wanted to move to an electric boat. I just purchased a Proboat Impulse 31 as I was told this a good place to start. Just waiting for the boat to be shipped in to the LHS.
Now for the advise. I also ordered two 2S Turnigy 5000mAh 40C batteries to run. Are these batteries safe to run in a stock setup? Also looking at buying two upgrades and looking for guidance. What adjustable trim tabs would you recommend and also what prop would you put on a stock setup? Was looking at the Octura X645 but was worried this might be too much prop for a stock setup. Any hints you can give would be great.
Also what sort of run times and speeds could you predict out of a stock setup with the batteries mentioned above?
Also if anyone is in the Port Coquitlam(British Columbia) area and is available in the next few weeks to run their boats, send me a message. Sorry for the rookie questions.
