Steve - a couple of questions:

    Are you a NAMBA member?

Have you attended FE NATS in the past??

What years had 50 to 70??

And can anyone tell me why the FE NATS info is not on the NAMBA site?
    Don't get me started

I'm not going to get into this with you, Steve... I'll do what Joerg and several others didn't have the balls to do... Agree to disagree, let others think as they will, and move on to more interesting topics... Like actually RACING boats...

        Huh ??

I was there, and can most definitely say that Brian's and Darin's contributions attracted me, rather than chased me away. Most importantly, from firsthand observation, it's not unlimited budgets, but practice, preparation, and well-honed skill that makes these gentlemen what they are. Brian GAVE me one of his super-props to race with in a class he was competing in, and Darin personally pit-coached me into a first-place finish in a heat belonging to a class he was also racing in. No money on earth could buy what I experienced at the Nat's : the knowledge gained, the camaraderie, and excitement that starts long before and lasts long after the event.
Sure, It's dollar-intensive to race far from home, but it takes much more than "unlimited budgets" [ which I doubt Brian and Darin have] to do the dance.
Committment and sacrifice, regardless of your finances, is what it takes.

Willingness to freely share their passion should be their legacy, not unfounded criticism.

That's right....you guys have outstanding leadership qualities. What was I thinking? All 4 or 5 of you clique members.

The fact is Joerg knows about 100 times more than all you guys together and you ran him off just like all the others. clap clap clap. Can't beat em, throw them under the bus.

Last time I checked... There was a vote sent out that gave each member of NAMBA the chance to voice his/her opinion on the matters at hand... there was certainly PLENTY of information provided from ALL sides... They voiced thier opinions, and we now have what we have...

If you don't like the way it is, either work to change it, or don't participate. If you prefer how things are done overseas, I'm sure there is an available flight...

Want to see how things REALLY are... GO to a RACE near you and find out. We have one coming up Sunday if you want to fly out and see how all this works... We'll be short a few people... Ray moved... Dick Crowe has backed off because he's too busy with his 4-kids... One of our members died last year suddenly... others have busy jobs or are having to take work where they can get it due to the economy... But there should be a decent showing none-the-less... Haven't heard of anybody NOT attending due to the rules... but you can keep supporting that theory if you wish... Most are just setting priorities, as any good adult should...

We're in the process of testing out some new spec classes if you'd like to try a more budget minded race-group... P-Spec Hydro (SV27/BJ26 Powered 4S Rigger) We have something for everyone... which is exactly the way it should be... No reason not to join in...

Oh sure, it's the round cells Bill....

The nats use to have 50-70 people and you guys had to have your unlimited motors and unlimited LiPoly.

Oh I know, everyone stopped going because of Global Warming, yes, that's it.
I do not think that I ran Jerg off. Speak for your self, what you do. It would be more credible.

OK Just facts I have been to 17 of the last 21 Fast Electric Nationals The biggest nationals ever that I attened was in Michigan with some whare around 40 people and 450 boats. The smallest was in Alaska I think it was 16. We had 18 contestants at our race from all over the country. I would say that around 22 to 25 costestant is the average

I worked my but off doing this. It was totaly worth it. I an suffering from a lot of health problems and this was not easy for me at all. Every one there was the greatest I have never had more fun with less controvirsy ever.

I would rather have 18 great guys and gal, than 50 contestants with a few jerks that talk bull poopie.

This is stupid, its been how long now that lipos have been legal and here is every one still bashing each other about "round VS flat cells, and unlimited budgets, get over it already.

sjslhill, I am curious what do you care what Darin or Brian, or any of us for that matter spend on our boats, its not your money.... simple fact.

as a matter of fact there is a guy over on Rum Runner that has OVER $14,000,
yes $14,000 dollars in to his Shulze/ Lehner powered HPR Catamaran, and it hasnt even hit the water!!! (I think thats INSANE )

                          my 2 pennies.
