Just got back from another trip to the lake, went really well, although "everything" was a bit hot inside
I might sand down the X645 prop a bit more, and give it a test with my 642 and see if it cools itself down a bit.

try a stright edge on the bottom past the trim plate....screew the plate to be flatt to the stright edge and that will prob fix the chine walking....it did mine anyway....i run a m445 and have never had a heat issue with mine

yeah i wonder if the extra pitch on a X645 is enough to cause the extra heat

The larger prop you run, the more problems you will have getting it to handle well also.

I NEVER feel safe with just hatch tape on a mono. On a cat or hydro you can start the tape on the bottom side of the front of the tunnel, which helps hold things on. On a mono, there is no way to tape that is foolproof in a hard crash.

Check out my hatch bolt kit thread and hatch seal thread in the for sale section. Shipping to Aus is a little pricey so you may not want to spend that much, but it might give you some ideas of what to do to solve the problem.

                  re mono hatch
I now have a locating pin epoxied under the nose of the cowl that slides into a purpose made block at front the hull opening.. and then tape around. Never lost a cowl.. and my DF33 does acrobatics often.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlCvceR8oQw

yeah the persuit allready has a tongue made into the hatch then a hole in the deck for it. Ive now got 2 types of latches so ill give the small ones a go, and if they are too small, ill make sure ive got enoguh space to install the large cowl locks.
Just had a few issues on making a 5.5 bullet parallel adapter, surely there is an easier way hahaha
maybe i should have done 8MM on the ESC, then id be able to fit the two 12gauge wires in there , aaaaaaah well
                    all for tommorow :)
