It doesn't really. I ran this boat on the water too, that's why it's there. I hooked the cooling lines up on the snow rudder to try it but didn't get much more than a little moisture in the cooling lines. Runs in the snow were short and heat built up rather quickly.

note: rudderblatt (assuming that means rudder) V2.0
and look at his rudder size and still his turning radius isn't great.

jep, Ruderblatt means rudder. The V2.0 is for the "little" modifications.

I think the blade itself can be a huge problem. Mine was about 3mm thick and we sharpened the tip but I'd say it causes a LOT of drag. In may case maybe close to 50% of the overall drag - therefore the thinner the better. Sadly this year we have hardly any snow so up to now there's not the smallest chance to try something. Then I'd test a 1mm blade of spring steel, cheapest and fastest way to get something is to cut it out of a trowel. But be aware of the bore, its very hard to machine.

            Best regards,
            Manuel

we got a huge dumping of snow and I took my hydro out,
the only mod I made was to change out the 42mm prop for a 47, no rudder mods at all.
with countdowns my assistant nudged it and i hit approx 1/2 throttle, as soon as it left his hand i stepped it up to about 3/4.
the thing went much better than I though, it took a reasonable amount of time to accelerate but once it got up there it went reasonably quick (not near as fast as on water)
I tried to turn it around and it stalled out, i worked for a while trying different techniques but I couldn't get it to go.
I am going out again with both my mono and my hydro and will be trying both of them, likely the mono won't work but the hydro is really fun!
